Meet the new Volleyball Coaches starting this Fall! (Sooner, actually, with summer camps and open gyms!) Jen Hanson is a Nurse Practitioner by trade and is the founder and co-owner of The Timber Lane Co. in Wilmot. Jen has four children in the school district (five if you count her husband). Coach Hanson has experience in Wilmot High School Volleyball (graduated 2001) and has participated in league sand volleyball in the Mankato, MN area for the past few years. Kim Ammann is a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor at Bridgeway Counseling Center in Watertown, SD a nd has three children in the Wilmot School district. Coach Ammann has experience at the high school level in Savage, Wyoming and played college basketball at Crown College in St. Bonfacius, MN. Heidi Pelzel is a nursing instructor at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD and has two children in the district. Coach Pelzel also played Volleyball for Wilmot and also graduated in 2001! Welcome these three amazing individuals to our coaching staff in Wilmot! We're excited to have them on board! Coach Pelzel will be meeting with JH VB players on Wednesday this week at 12:00pm during advisory and lunch. Coaches Hanson and Ammann will be meeting with HS VB players Thursday this week at 12:00pm during lunch and advisory.

The SDSU Extension Family and Community Health Education Program in Roberts County is offering a family cooking class starting in June. Families are invited to be part of this free program which teaches youth and adults basic nutrition and culinary skills, and they get to prepare and sample an easy and delicious recipe at each session! Families, as well as singles, senior citizens, and teens are welcome to be part of this series of lessons. Classes will be held in the Wilmot high school former FACS classroom beginning Tuesday, June 13th at 3PM. There are 6 sessions in this series, and each will be about 90 minutes in length. We had 2 more records that were broken!! Jayven Maag broke his own records for the 1600m (previously 5:18.91) and the 3200m run (previously 11:57.4) in Webster on Tuesday!! The new records stand at 1600m run: 5:16.2 and the 3200m run: 11:56.11!

Here we go again!! Tigh Gaikowski, Kolt Mendenhall, Jaxen Dockter, and Kolby Haubris bested the Dakota Hills record again for the 4 x 100 with a time of 47.7, beating their last time by nearly a second (48.61)! And our girls are doing the same with the 4 x 100 relay at a time of 57.7! Aubrey Strang, Jada Cameron, Addison Heinje, and Brianna Lindholm smoked the old record of 59.43 set in 2019!

Good morning, The following message regarding the Winter Athletic Awards Banquet was sent on April 27th. If you misplaced the message or are wondering details, see below: The Winter Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, May 4th at 7pm in the Wilmot Gym. All student-athletes and family members are invited to attend. The banquet will recognize senior achievement for all sports and recognize basketball and volleyball players and cheerleaders with awards following a meal. The W-Club will provide chicken & meatballs, a drink, plates, and silverware. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass. Families whose last name starts with A to R bring a dish to pass (bread, salads, vegetable, or hot dish) and families whose last name start with S to Z bring a dessert. We will eat first and the awards program will follow. Student-athletes and managers will be recognized at the awards program.
