From Attendance Advocate Marla Strei:
Attention Wilmot Families!
If your child is absent from school due to a medical appointment, please ask the medical professional for an appointment confirmation before leaving the appointment location. Providing this document will exempt your student’s absence.
Please submit a simple document with the clinic logo on it stating something like “John was a patient in our office on 10/7/2024.” This document must be signed by a medical professional (Doctor, Dentist, Chiropractor, PA, Nurse, Counselor, Optometrist, Medical Administrative Assistant or other) to be accepted as an excused absence.
All medical facilities provide this type of documentation, so PLEASE ASK for the signed paper and email it to me at school. My email is marla.strei@k12.sd.us. Paper copies turned into Mrs. Goodhart or Mrs. Bronson in the school office are also acceptable documents.
Mrs. Goodhart, Mrs. Bronson and I appreciate your cooperation with this matter as we work to improve our attendance and keep our students in school. If you have any questions, please visit with me during Parent-Teacher Conference Night this Thursday, October 10 at Wilmot School.

In the past thanks to some generous donations we have been able to have free seconds cards at lunch for all of our students. Unfortunately we are very close to our current supply of those running out, it probably won't last through tomorrow. So as soon as tomorrow if your child wants a seconds at lunch he/she will will have to have a seconds card. Seconds cards cost $10 and it will get you about 6 seconds, or if you want to pay they are $1.50 a time.
