Our middle school and high school teachers not participating in math training learned how we can all incorporate better grammar expectations into other areas of our curriculum. The English department did a great job presenting a writing checklist.

All of our math teachers are getting in depth instruction on math today with our new curriculum. Sarah from Curriculum Associates & i-Ready is here all day to help our teachers dig deeper into this curriculum and specific strategies to improve student outcomes! Our 6-12 non-math teachers are working with our ELA teachers to find ways to incorporate ELA standards and learn the ways they can help boost our areas of need in their own classrooms!

Congrats to Mya Heinje on being selected as the Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week. Mya had the opportunity to be interviewed by Dakota News Now’s Samuel Tastad after being selected as the Scholar of the Week. Mya receives a $250 scholarship from our local cooperative Wheatstone Valley Electric and will have the opportunity to earn an additional scholarship at the end of the year. Touchstone Energy awards two $500 awards and a $1000. This program runs from September through May, with all nominations being submitted by December. Tune in to Dakota News Now/ ABC on Monday September 30th at 6pm and again on Tuesday October 1 between 6-7am to catch her interview.

Sometimes a principal just needs to join in the fun! Mr. Hanson is trying his hardest to give the kids a "ride" on the caterpillar see-saw teeter totter thing, but too many students prove to be too much of a challenge!

Bubbling up some FUN! Last week, the PK class explored the letter B by helping our bear blow brilliant blue bubbles!

The first deadline orders for homecoming shirts are ready for pickup TOMORROW in the elementary office. The second deadline orders are not here until next week. Office ladies are leaving early so they want pickup to start tomorrow. We could send home with your child if you prefer. Thank you!
