In library class the 3rd grade read "If I Built a School" by Chris Van Dusen in which we follow Jack as he gets creative imagining his dream school! The 3rd grade students were asked to come up with their dream school...here's a few of the ideas they came up with!

Today's development day is centered around classroom management and effective whole group instruction. The Catalyst Approach leads our PD today with their vision to ensure that "Every student is surrounded by leaders who understand, nurture, inspire, and support them." Volleyball practice in full "swing" this morning! Catch their first game August 27th at home v Sisseton at 6:15!

NEW THIS YEAR!
We are asking all families to do their best to provide their children with a separate set of shoes for gym (physical education classes). These should be something other than hard-soled (boots or otherwise) shoes that can be used exclusively for gym. This will help with the constant wear and tear on our gym floor and keep it looking and functioning well year round! These can be new or used shoes as long as they are clean and won't cause additional wear to our gym floor. Students will still be able to participate without shoes as well. Struggling with access to gym shoes? Reach out to Mr. Hanson at the school.

On August 8th two Wilmot students went to Valley View Country Club and golfed in the Elmer Thompson youth tournament. Rhyanna placed 1st and Annicka placed 2nd in their age group! Way to go girls!
