Looking for help with the shot clock for the upcoming basketball season! Specifically looking for help on double headers and girls basketball games (varsity and junior varsity).
We are also looking for some help with officiating for C Team boys basketball games if anyone is interested.
Reach out to Mr. Hanson if you are able to help. There is a brief training and you get paid for these positions!

Somehow it turned into "Dress Like Your Principal Day" today!

Due to a conflict in Hankinson, the boys basketball game on February 13 has been moved to January 30.

November 18th-22nd is American Education Week, and to celebrate public education, Wilmot School, in partnership with 21CCLC Wilmot Afterschool Program, is hosting a special event to promote family engagement and reading. On Wednesday, November 20th, we invite you to join us for Pastries with Parents/Guardians between 7:45-8:30 in McKenna Hall for a breakfast gathering. Afterward, we’ll move to the gymnasium for a fun reading activity. Elementary students will team up with older students to read a book, and parents/guardians are welcome to participate as well. This will also be pajama day, and everyone is encouraged to wear pajamas or comfortable attire. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hey girls, listen up! You’re invited to a party with the Girl Scouts! You’ll be able to make friendship bracelets, decorate a guitar and pose for an album cover just like Girl Scout alum Taylor Swift!
Tell your grown-ups at home to join us on Thursday, November 14th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Wilmot Elementary, 800 Ordway St, Wilmot, SD 57279. For more information – check out the Girl Scouts website at gsdakotahorizons.org.

A number of schools in the Eastern Coteau Conference are starting to put together 5th & 6th grade volleyball programs. Wilmot is one of them! This will be a spring activity between the basketball and track seasons. Specific dates will be determined later.
This is a school sponsored program, so there will be no fee for girls in 5th & 6th grade to participate. Since this is a school activity, we are looking for a coach. If you are interested, please reach out to Mr. Hanson and complete an application on the school website.

Due to a scheduling mishap in Henry, the 5th & 6th grade basketball game is now cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause! If you know anyone that does not have sportsYou, Facebook, or receives notifications from the school, please feel free to share.
There will still be practice for both boys and girls after school today.

Over the past couple years Dan Meyer has been a huge help to our golf program in Wilmot. His donations of $2000 to our program have allowed the team to purchase much needed gear and apparel. Dan donates in honor of family members- golfing is a family passion for them. This is one way that he can use what he has to continue to support programs like golf in Wilmot, spread the love of the sport, and honor the struggles of his daughter and her family as they have navigated some tough times in recent years. Thanks, Dan!!

The parade of costumes today was great! Now, can you find our staff (Waldos and Wendys) in the crowd?

Dear Parents/Guardians/Fans,
The SDHSAA is attempting to gather the economic impact data of our state events for the purposes of engaging local chambers of commerce to explore ways to keep costs to families down and to explore cost saving avenues for our member schools. We started this last year with state volleyball and will end it this fall with state football. Your responses are confidential and are anonymously compiled within the IMPLAN Economic Impact computer program. No identifying data will be asked of you or used within the study. We appreciate you taking the time to help us with this undertaking. Your feedback is necessary and appreciated. If possible, please take the survey as soon after your event as possible, as our IMPLAN license runs out shortly after the fall season.
The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DS7TQNX

Congratulations to these senior football players for making the ECC All Conference team! Jaxen Dockter made honorable mention and Keitrick Genia made the team!

Who Sings in The Choir and What Do They Like?
In an attempt to learn more about her students, Mrs. Ammann, the K-12 Choral Director asked her 5th through 11th Grade Choir students to design a T-Shirt that would share information such as favorite movie, film or tv show, subject in school, place, book, color, sport and their name age and year in school. The assignment quickly turned into a competition for Wilmot Bucks and the students put a great amount of effort into designing their shirts. A panel of teachers judged the designs that were turned in for the competition and selected the following students for the winning designs:
1st Place – Evangeline Rockwood – 8th Grade
2nd Place - Sophie Ammann – 5th Grade
2nd Place – Teagan Ammann – 5th Grade
3rd Place – Hannah Weber – 8th Grade
Honorable Mention 5th Grade Choir – Konner Wynia
Honorable Mention 6th Grade Choir – Haylie Hansen
Honorable Mention 7th – 11th Grade Choir – Daphne Anderson
Check out the details and the creativity that secured the winning spots by these students and get to know just a few of our choral singers at Wilmot School.
