Today's Development Day allows 90 school staff from Wilmot and Waubay to receive important S.A.V.E. (Survive a Violent Encounter) Yourself training throughout the day. This includes an afternoon of hands on scenario based training in classrooms as well.

DARE Graduation for our fifth graders today! Our big winners went home today with a new scooter, bike, and a fifty dollar gift card from the Grind! For all their hard work everyone got a free drink from the Grind. Thanks Deputy Schmidt and SRO Fladland for all you do for our students!

When it rains it pours!
Turns out Wyndmere Lidgerwood had our Monday game down as a home game. This was not the original plan. However, we are being gracious and moving the game to Wyndmere to accommodate.
Due to low numbers on their side, JV will only play two quarters. This game will start at 5:30. They will be leaving at 3:45.
The Varsity game will be played following the JV game, likely around 6:30. There is a brief dance program during halftime of the varsity game.
We will have our Wyndmere-Lidgerwood game at home for the boys for the next two years.

December 18, 2023 at 7:00pm the Wilmot School Music Department will present their annual Holiday Concert for the public. The concert features the Kindergarten to 5th Grade General Music students as well as the 5th Grade, 6th Grade and 7th - 10th Grade Choirs under the direction of Mrs. Marie Ammann who is in her 2nd year of teaching at the Wilmot school. In addition, the 6th Grade Band and 7th - 9th Grade Band under the direction of Mrs. Jill Spindler will also play several selections. Mrs. Spindler is a familiar face in the Wilmot School and is most recently our new Instrumental Music teacher.
Attached is a sample program for the evening of music. Our theme this year is “Ring the Bells for Peace On Earth”.
On December 14, 2023 at 11:30 AM, the PreK students and Mrs. Ammann will present a short Christmas music program in the music room at the school. The public is invited to attend both of these performances.

Grayson and Andrew both took home third place today at the Watertown Elks Hoop Shoot in their age brackets! Congrats to all of the wilmot hoopers today: Haylie, Logan, Camria, and Palesa (Maycie wasn't able to make it)!
The community meal at the Catholic Church on Dec. 7th will be a fundraiser for the school library One School One Book reading program. They will be serving beef tips/gravy/mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. Dine in or carry out. Freewill donation and serving will start at 4:00.
