Congrats to our FFA CDE competitors today! Mya secured 3rd place as an individual in Vet Science.
Also, the Ag Mechanics team (Heath, Kolby, Jaxen, and Keitrick) took 3rd place as a team.
Our Dairy team, 8th graders (Hannah W, Cali, Daphne, and Kadie) took 4th in Dairy.
Two horse judgers (Rhyanna and Natalie) also placed high enough and all are eligible to go to State next week!

Heading to State History Day! 14 students from Wilmot participated in Region 2 History Day in Aberdeen and returned with a couple of first-place projects. **Senior Group Exhibit** 1st Place: "Child Labor in the Industrial Revolution" - Emilie Metz and Annicka Smith **Senior Individual Exhibit** 1st Place: "The Rights of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribe" - Reese Rudebusch, who also received the award for Best Local Project. State is April 9th in Brookings

Last week, students in the Career Exploration and JAG programs had the opportunity to hear from representatives of Hortons, a leading manufacturing company, and Lake Area’s Automotive Technology program. These guest speakers shared insights into career paths in both the manufacturing and automotive industries, highlighting the skills needed for success. Students engaged in discussions about potential career options, hands-on learning experiences, and future job prospects.
A big thank you to our guest speakers for taking the time to inspire and inform our students about the exciting opportunities in these growing industries!

This past week has been fun for staff as they participated in "Underground Spirit Week." Dress up days were a secret to the students and included:
Mad for Plaid Monday, wearing plaid or flannel
Tired Tuesday, wearing pajamas
War Room Wednesday, wearing camo
Think like Them Thursday, dressing like a student
To cap it off, Friday was 'Fresh like a Celebrity Friday" and "Anything but a Cup Day" to bring anything but a cup to drink out of.
You can see the staff dressing like their favorite celebrity. It was all kept under wraps very well, and a big surprise for retiree Mr. Hulscher!
